Each school site is allowed up to four entries with no more than two chorals

(a choral is two or more persons)

 

The Following is a Detailed Example of Non-District Student Fees:

 

Individual Poetry : One Student = $6.00

Famous Speeches : One Student = $6.00

Choral Speaking : Three Students = $18.00

Choral Speaking : Twenty-Three Students = $138.00

Tootal Registration Fees Due by Example School : $168.00

 

 

ELEGIBILITY

 

All Oakland students from kindergarten through grade twelve

must be provided the opportunity to participate in competition.

 

All Entries are to originate from the school site.

 

Online Registration Required or faxed entry forms should be signed by the School-Site Oratorical Coordinator and/or Principal.

 

No coaching by students, parents, or teachers during the individual or group presentations.

1. Original Poetry and Essays (written by student)

2. Individual Poetry

3. Famous Speeches and Essays

4. Choral Speaking and Dramatic Skits (group of two or more)

 

AWARDS

School Site: Participants receive a Certificate of Participation.

Regional's: Participants receive a Certificate of Participation and

Medals - 1st Place = Gold, 2nd Place = Silver, 3rd Place = Bronze.

 

FINALS: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are awarded trophies or plaques.
